Justicia y Equidad Fund

The Justicia y Equidad Fund is GreenLatinos’ intermediary grantmaking fund established in 2022. This fund was established to provide general operating support for small but mighty Latino/a/e environmental, conservations, and climate justice frontline organizations and programs primarily serving frontline Latino/a/e communities. Enhanced with support from Besos Earth Fund, and the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Urban and Community Forestry Program, the Fund now awards over $20 million annually.

CURRENT PARTNERSHIPS:

The Justicia y Equidad Fund currently supports three distinct programs listed below.

This program is currently accepting applications for $8.5 Million through October 11, 2024. Online Application (Available September 6, 2024).

Urban Greening Initiative:

GreenLatinos has allocated a total of $2,650,000 in grants to increase and revitalize greenspaces in urban Latino/a/e communities across Los Angeles, Albuquerque, and Chicago. This initiative is a program of the broader Greening America’s Cities Initiative and is funded by the Bezos Earth Fund.
