Texas

GreenLatinos Texas is a comunidad of environmental protectors dedicated to addressing the impacts of environmental burdens and climate change on Latino/a/e communities throughout our state. We firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their background or zip code, deserves access to a clean and healthy environment. Our focus is on ensuring that the voices of frontline communities are not only acknowledged but actively considered when local, state, and federal leaders make any decisions regarding our environment.

At GreenLatinos Texas, our efforts center around empowering frontline environmental justice and conservation advocates to support their existing campaigns. We do this by actively engaging with local communities to understand their campaign goals and identify areas where support is needed. GreenLatinos Texas works to create opportunities for relationship-building and serves as an intermediary for valuable resources. We aim to create a stronger, more connected network of protectors across Texas and recognize the intersectional nature of environmental issues with social justice, health, and economic equity.

GreenLatinos Texas is committed to nurturing trusted relationships among community advocates and our allies in order to advance our work. This network of well-resourced advocates will enable us to support policies that promote a healthier, more sustainable future for our Latino/a/e communities.
