Request for Proposals: GIS Story Map Developer

Organization Overview

GreenLatinos is an organization committed to fighting for environmental liberation. We convene Latino/a/e leaders from across the country in various sectors to advocate for policies that reduce the impact of climate change on Latino/a/e communities.

Purpose & Overview

The GreenLatinos Water Equity and Ocean Program is embarking on a meaningful campaign with the goal of spotlighting river and ocean foodways through storytelling and connection. Our focus is on uplifting and engaging Latine community members across the country, encompassing a diverse range from youth to the elderly. We aim to share 3 to 5 stories that explore the intersection of green/gray infrastructure, the significance of cultivating our environments (natural, community, etc.), and healing our connections to land and waters through food.

We are looking to hire by April 22nd to develop a story map that integrates multiple forms of media from the storytelling aspect of our campaign. We aim to conduct the interview portion of the project between April - May and will request any graphics, pictures, videos, and audio to be submitted by May 31st. At this point, we will bring on the GIS story map developer to integrate the interviews and media, as well as federal calls to action that will connect the stories together and highlight tangible steps to advocate for water equity and climate resilience. The story map will be completed by August 1st.
