Powered by People is hiring passionate, hardworking Organizers to lead our 2025 voter registration and volunteer engagement efforts in key regions of Texas. We’re building a team of dedicated individuals who believe in grassroots power, volunteer leadership, and the urgency of registering and activating every eligible voter to win elections up and down the ballot.
Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to lead relational voter registration efforts, run community events, and grow our organizing presence in their region. Our program centers community, lifts up local leaders, and focuses on meaningful one-to-one conversations that result in real action. Some prior campaign or organizing experience is required. We’re looking for driven, community-minded people who are eager to learn, build power, and do the hard but meaningful work it takes to win. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Register voters through direct outreach including site-based events, door-to-door canvassing, high-traffic locations, and phone banking. Recruit and retain volunteers, setting and meeting weekly goals for shifts, signups, and contacts. Train and support volunteers, assigning tasks, reviewing progress, providing feedback, and escalating volunteers into leadership roles. Plan and lead community events, ensuring volunteers are well-trained, supported, and re-engaged. Manage data and tools, including regular use of tracking spreadsheets, Google Drive, Slack, Mobilize, Reach, and other campaign systems. Make calls and send texts to recruit, confirm, and follow up with volunteers and voters, including evenings and weekends. Teach others to use digital tools, staying patient and encouraging even during repetitive or complex tasks. Build and support a pipeline of volunteer leaders, helping them step into roles like team leads, event hosts, or trainers
