Jacob Belgrad (He/Him/His) is a Transportation Advocate for the state of Colorado. Jacob was previously an environmental justice organizer for Mi Familia Vota. There, he advocated for our latino communities in a variety of ways but most notably in testifying for and helping pass the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) and Advanced Clean Cars 2 (ACC2) regulation. These regulations will decrease pollution and clean up our predominantly BIPOC highway corridor communities. Passionate about open dialogue and finding practical solutions to the issues that face our communities, Jacob hopes to engage others and empower voices to find solutions for mitigating the indiscriminate effects of climate change. One of such solutions is clean and equitable public transit. When he’s not hanging out with his cat Blue Jacob spends his time skateboarding, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
Jacob Belgrad (Él/Él/De él) es un Defensor del Transporte para el estado de Colorado. Jacob fue anteriormente un organizador de justicia ambiental para Mi Familia Vota. Allí, abogó por nuestras comunidades latinas de diversas maneras, pero sobre todo al testificar y ayudar a aprobar la regulación de Camiones Limpios Avanzados (ACT) y Autos Limpios Avanzados 2 (ACC2). Estas regulaciones reducirán la contaminación y limpiarán nuestras comunidades en su mayoría de BIPOC en el corredor de carreteras. Apasionado por el diálogo abierto y encontrar soluciones prácticas para los problemas que enfrentan nuestras comunidades, Jacob espera involucrar a otros y empoderar voces para encontrar soluciones que mitiguen los efectos indiscriminados del cambio climático. Una de esas soluciones es el tránsito público limpio y equitativo. Cuando no está pasando el rato con su gato Blue, Jacob dedica su tiempo a andar en patineta, hacer snowboard y tocar la guitarra.
