Description: Pedego Alexandria is looking for a tour guide to serve as our local ambassador, to lead e-bike tours, to assist in bike deliveries, and to organize events. Guide training is available, no prior knowledge needed! We’re looking for someone smart, determined, and considerate. We can train a great person to be a great tour guide, we can’t train a great tour guide to be a great person.

Duties:

· Lead themed e-bike tours and group rides around Alexandria and D.C.

· Curate, memorize, and share trivia with guests at significant landmarks

· Create and customize tour routes and e-bike experiences

· Manage scheduling, booking, and logistics of tours and events

· Update tour mobile application and online activity listings

· Transport and deliver e-bikes to customers as needed

· Organize events to network with locals and engage the community

· Host events exclusive to our Pedego Owners Group

· Direct our chapter of the Pedego Ambassadors Program

· Speak on our behalf at expos, conferences, and advocacy events (occasional travel)

Basic Qualifications:

· Can occasionally work early mornings and late evenings

· Any prior work experience

· Interest in electric bikes

· Curiosity for history

· Get to the shop on time

· Speak fluent English

· Bike at steady, calm pace for 2 hours

· Possess driver’s license and smartphone

· Excellent memory

· Charismatic and diplomatic

· Loud speaking voice

· Good time management

· Confident in storytelling and improvisation

· Responsive to changing environments

· Take charge during a crisis

· Accept responsibility for mistakes easily

· Take personal pride in quality of experiences

· Cultural competency and sensitivity

· Support of mobility justice, sustainability, accessibility

· Desire to go above and beyond basic duties

Bonus Qualifications:

· Prior entertainment or performance experience

· Agile and practiced cyclist

· Adept at city navigation

· Local trivia ‘geek’

· Connected within community

· Comfortable moderating groups

· Can use personal car to transport bicycles

· Research skills

· First-aid certification

· Speak Spanish

· Any special skill

· Own a Pedego e-bike :)

About Us: Pedego Alexandria is a small, family-owned, local Pedego Electric Bikes dealer, bike shop, recreation activity, and accessories boutique. We sell, rent, and service Pedego brand e-bikes. We also offer tours and serve our community.
