About the job
The Portland Water Bureau is seeking a Source Protection Program Coordinator (Environmental Program Coordinator) to join the Source Protection Team.
The Environmental Program Coordinator position is in the Water Bureau’s Resource Protection and Planning Group, specifically the Source Protection Division. The Source Protection Division is charged with protecting the City’s two drinking water supplies, the Bull Run Watershed and the Columbia South Shore Well Field, and with leading the bureau’s adaptation to climate change. You’ll be working within a dedicated collegial team that puts into daily practice the Water Bureau’s commitment to careful stewardship of the natural resources entrusted to our care.
As an integral member of the team, you will manage small programs in the bureau’s Source Protection Division and will support the work of at least two senior program managers. The work is multi-dimensional and requires a solid foundation in watershed and/or groundwater science, confidence working independently in remote forest settings, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
