Oceana is looking for a Senior Associate, Corporate and Celebrity Partnerships, a key member of Oceana’s Development Department, who will contribute to Oceana’s mission through the acquisition and stewardship of corporate and celebrity partners. This position works collaboratively to build mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver important financial and promotional support for Oceana.

 

In identifying, soliciting, and stewarding prospective and current partners, the Senior Associate will acquire an in-depth understanding of Oceana’s campaigns and use his/her creativity to align Oceana’s work with our partners’ advocacy, cause marketing, and/or corporate social responsibility goals. The position requires an affinity for sales, marketing communications, and account management. The Senior Associate is action-oriented, highly organized, and an excellent communicator.

 

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. We are currently in a work from home status and plan for the office to re-open on a hybrid schedule this spring with three designated days a week in the office and two designated days allowing work from home. All staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This position reports to the Director Global Corporate and Celebrity Partnerships. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sales, Marketing, or relevant field, and at least 4 years of experience working in partnerships, sales, and/or PR/marketing; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

We achieve measurable change by conducting specific, science-based campaigns with fixed deadlines and articulated goals. Our campaigns focus on getting policy changes in countries that, govern nearly one-third of the world’s wild-caught fish, including Belize, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, the United States, Canada and the 27 countries in the European Union.
