National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the nation’s oldest and largest national parks nonprofit advocacy organization seeks a Senior Administrative Coordinator for our Pacific Regional Office.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
To provide administrative support to the staff of the Pacific Regional Office (PARO) and various NPCA campaigns. Administratively support exciting campaigns to protect national parks in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Support innovative efforts in those states to create new national park units that inclusively cover the history of our country, especially the historic accomplishments of communities of color, that have previously been excluded from the national narrative.
The Sr. Coordinator will organize and support the office so that it operates efficiently and professionally. The Sr. Coordinator’s primary roles will be to manage and implement the administrative needs of the region’s staff and assist with specific program functions and fundraising activities as appropriate. Duties include monitoring the budget, meeting and event planning and execution, preparing reports, fact sheets, and campaign materials, coordinating a bi-annual newsletter and other publication schedules and content, working with designers and printers, and handling general office correspondence.
The Sr. Coordinator will also provide limited program support for PARO national park campaigns when necessary. This could include research, writing and outreach. This position will serve as an important point of contact for the public, NPCA’s donors, board and council members, and for NPCA’s
Washington, D.C., staff.
Salary: Salary is based on location and experience (in the range of $36/hour)
