Join the Sonoma County Regional Parks team as a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker II. Multiple positions available!

Starting salary of $25.58/hour ($53,388/year) and a competitive total compensation package!*

 

Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker II's (PGMW IIS) help maintain Sonoma County Regional parks' grounds, bike trails, buildings and community centers, and marinas for the betterment of our community, by performing a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.

 

Additionally, PGMW IIs repair power garden equipment and irrigation systems, coordinate and conduct safety and skills training for entry-level staff, and may act as a lead worker on special projects.

 

The ideal candidates for these positions will be:

 

· Able to complete complex, multi-step work accurately

· Committed to working safely

· Dependable, with a strong work ethic

· Skilled in using light mechanical machines and hand tools

 

Please note: Since work locations may vary and assignments include irregular hours, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, a candidate's flexibility in available workdays and hours is highly desirable. These various locations include Spring Lake, Sonoma Valley, Central Area, Coastal (Bodega Bay, Gualala – Stillwater), and Russian River park areas. Also, these positions perform work in uniform and requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license as it is responsible for driving County vehicles.
