About the job
Located in Lowell, MA, TerraCorps is an AmeriCorps affiliated start-up environmental non-profit preparing and mobilizing emerging leaders to help communities gain access to and conserve land for people and nature. Working at the intersection of the land conservation and urban agriculture movements, our vision is to create a future where land is the foundation of health and well-being for ALL people in EVERY community.
The Massachusetts Program Co-Director is a key staff member in the implementation of the TerraCorps program vision on a state-wide scale. Reporting to the TerraCorps Chief Program Officer, the Co-Directors work in pairs (two in each state) to successfully implement the TerraCorps service model by cultivating strong partnerships and supporting TerraCorps members’ service experience and professional development. The Massachusetts Program Co-Director will oversee up to 48 members and 25 Service Site Partners. As an alternative to conventional management hierarchy, TerraCorps uses a Self-Managed Teams framework to leverage employees’ strengths and distribute decision-making authority. We value collaboration, continuous learning, and flexibility. The two Massachusetts Program Co-Directors will work together to ensure that all program responsibilities are met and have opportunities to work with other team members on cross-functional projects.
Major responsibilities include program operations, partner relationship management, member support and development, reporting and data tracking, and grant management. If you’re a person who would thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented, start-up atmosphere and wants to put your relationship building, program management, and communications skills to use toward environmental and social good, we want to meet you. TerraCorps celebrates difference and embraces the impact that diversity of thought, experience, and identity has on our organization.
TerraCorps is an equal opportunity employer. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals are encouraged to apply. Experience with national service, and more specifically, AmeriCorps or TerraCorps experience a plus.
