Oceana is looking for a Manager, Corporate and Celebrity Partnerships, a key member of Oceana’s Development Department, who will contribute to Oceana’s mission through the acquisition and stewardship of corporate and celebrity partners. The Manager independently owns account management responsibilities. S/he also working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to build mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver important financial and promotional support for Oceana.
To prepare for managing, identifying, soliciting, and stewarding prospective corporate and celebrity partners, the Manager will acquire an in-depth understanding of Oceana’s campaigns. S/he will use creativity to align Oceana’s work with our partners’ advocacy, cause marketing, and/or corporate social responsibility goals. The position requires an affinity for sales, marketing communications, and account management. The Manager is action-oriented, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. We are currently on a hybrid schedule with three designated days a week in the office and the opportunity to have two designated days working from home. All staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This position reports to the Director, Global Corporate and Celebrity Partnerships. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sales, Marketing, or relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience working in partnerships, sales, and/or PR/marketing; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
