The Nature Conservancy in Indiana is looking for Grand Calumet River Restoration Crew Members to join our staff in protecting more than 500 acres, across northern Lake County, Indiana. Work includes controlling exotic invasive species; maintaining tools/equipment; monitoring wildlife; conducting preserve maintenance; learning how to identify native and non-native species; and preparing sites for prescribed burns. This is a unique opportunity to work in an area that contains more than 30 percent of Indiana’s rare and endangered species, while expanding your conservation knowledge and skills for the next phase of your career!
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), hands-on, field position based at our Southern Lake Michigan Rim Office in Merrillville, Indiana, lasting approximately 15 months starting February 2023. The pay is $17.25/hour and includes a competitive benefits package.
