The Policy Advisor directly supports the mission of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) by developing proactive and reactive strategies in Oregon to build influence, leverage and momentum to achieve the organization’s conservation outcomes. Actions may include: developing strategy and advocacy plans; policy development and implementation; building and strengthening key relationships with Oregon’s congressional delegation and federal government agencies; partner engagement and coalition building; and representing TNC externally and internally. The policy advisor will work closely with our conservation, science, philanthropy and strategic communications teams to ensure alignment of the policy work. This role will be instrumental in fostering the Conservancy’s commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity by advancing these dimensions during advocacy and policy work in Oregon.
