The Snohomish Conservation District (SCD) has an opening for a full time Farm Planner position. Primary duties include providing technical assistance to agricultural operators through site visits, resource evaluations, and natural resource conservation management plans; providing outreach and education to the public about conservation planning and best management practices (BMPs); and implementing BMPs and conservation practices. A successful candidate will have knowledge of BMPs and natural resource management priorities relevant to small and large agricultural operations in the Puget Sound region, and the ability to engage with diverse community members to assess needs, design conservation plans, communicate recommendations, and implement practices.
