About the job
The Corps Director for Conservation Corps New Mexico (CCNM) provides local leadership for a growing program within the Conservation Legacy family of programs. CCNM is a dynamic and fast paced program which was launched in 2017 and engages young adults in conservation service with land management partners. Our team works from our operational base in Las Cruces which is both the 2nd largest city in New Mexico and boasts plenty of easy to access outdoor recreational opportunities along with incredible weather year-round. CCNM project partners stretch across the beautiful state of New Mexico and include the US Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management and local and municipal organizations and governments.
The next Corps Director for CCNM will be passionate about a program which has a positive impact on the young adults participating as well as the natural environment throughout the state. Skills and experiences which are necessary in this position include budget management, supportive supervision, partnership development, strategic planning and critical thinking. We welcome your interest in “fostering conservation service in support of communities and ecosystems” and hope to see your application materials.
