Join The Nature Conservancy outdoors as part of a Grand Calumet River Restoration Action Team. The Indiana chapter is looking for various levels of Crew Members to assist with restoration efforts at preserve areas and riverine marshes in Northern Lake County and surrounding areas. Several positions are available, and the work may include controlling exotic invasive species; maintaining tools and equipment; monitoring wildlife; conducting preserve maintenance; learning how to identify native and non-native species; and preparing sites for prescribed burns. Some members may also help maintain restoration records using a database, PC, and/or tablet; and assist with organizing and participating in community outreach events.
