The Offshore Wind Energy Program seeks to hire a Campaign Manager to lead significant portions of state, regional, and federal offshore wind campaigns. In this role, you will assist in campaign strategy and planning, collaborate with and support the Program Director in implementation of priority campaign activities, lead select state campaign activities, and cultivate new and existing partnerships.

 

Our location is flexible, with preference for residence in an Atlantic Coast state. There is an option to be entirely remote or to work (when deemed safe and appropriate) in an NWF office.

 

Your major areas of responsibility:

 

  • Manage portions of state, regional, and federal Offshore Wind Energy campaigns:
    • Support the development of campaign strategy and planning
    • Manage execution of campaign activities (communications, digital, and field organizing) in select states and regions
    • Support the Program Director in scaling up new and existing initiatives and partnerships, with a strong focus on labor and environmental justice
    • Manage and maintain Offshore Wind Campaign website, including writing new content and facilitating guest content from partners
    • Serve as liaison to select internal teams
    • Manage select consultants and/or partner agreements
    • Represent NWF at coalition meetings, in the media, and directly to decision-makers
  • Support program development:
    • Support fundraising activities
    • Support team organization and internal communication
    • Fulfill limited administrative tasks as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience organizing campaigns, leading multi-stakeholders coalitions, and working across differences strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of or experience with advocating for clean energy policy at the state and/or federal level
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing environmental justice organizing principles
  • Excellent writer and communicator
  • Being a self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to put plans into action and meet deadlines

Travel:

 

There will likely be travel associated with this role when deemed safe and appropriate, up to 1-2 trips per month.

Compensation and Benefits:

 

This position pays $60,000 – $65,000 (commensurate with experience and skill set).
