National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the nation’s oldest and largest national parks nonprofit advocate, has grown its revenues nearly 100% over the past decade and is poised for further ambitious growth in the next five years. We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director of our midlevel giving program, “Trustees for the Parks” (TFP), to lead a team focused on donors who give $1,000-$9,999 annually.

The Associate Director is entrusted and empowered to lead the midlevel giving program to fundraise over $1MM annually, implementing strategies to generate revenue and solicit donors, including identifying and capitalizing on efforts to (1) expand the total number of midlevel donors; (2) increase the retention of midlevel donors; (3) increase the average gift size of midlevel donors; (4) secure pledge commitments; and (5) directly manage a portfolio. The Associate Director will manage one internal position –the TFP Junior Gift Officer.

The Associate Director, Trustees for the Parks interprets and communicates NPCA programs and activities to key external constituencies. The position involves ongoing and strategic contact with individual donors, thus requiring a high comfort level in initiating contact and a history of success in building donor relationships. The Associate Director works in frequent, close cooperation with other members of NPCA’s Development, Membership, and Regional Operations Departments. The Associate Director may also work with and manage outside consultants.
