About the job
Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience coordinating partners and stakeholders from across the globe and managing the operations of an energetic and remotely based team? Come join the team helping to build and launch a global coalition of civil society partners seeking to bring transparency and greater accountability to the national and international policies that govern our fisheries and conserve our seas.
Reporting to the coalition director, the associate will be responsible for successful coordination of the Coalition in line with its work plan and activities: organizing calls and meetings, drafting agendas and meeting notes, keeping track of agreed activities and deadline, and conducting specific research tasks as needed. The associate will support operations and project management needs, e.g., budgets and expenses, monitoring timelines and task completions (including those related to grants/contracts and deliverables), and disseminating regular updates to steering committee members, project partners, and donors.
Ideally, you bring experience in NGO project management and coordinating multi-stakeholder collaboratives. Strong candidates will have real-world experience in coordinating and managing projects across multiple time zones and with diverse international collaborators.
The associate will join Oceana as one of our many dedicated professionals working to protect our oceans, reduce the impacts of climate change, feed a growing global population, and support the livelihoods of fishers, their families, and their communities. Founded in 2001, Oceana is the world’s largest nonprofit organization focused solely on restoring the resilience and abundance of the ocean.
