We are conducting a search for a tenure-line faculty position in the social sciences for the Environmental Studies Department at Salisbury University, part of the University System of Maryland.
We are seeking a scholar with research and teaching interests in the intersections between the environment and gender, race, or indigeneity, approached through the qualitative or quantitative social sciences. The field of study is open. ABD candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

We teach small seminar-style courses (a 3/3 load, with typical class sizes for this position ranging from 12 to 25 students) and are closely engaged with our surrounding community.
Salisbury itself is the heart of a rapidly growing metropolitan area located about 2-2 ½ hours from Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
