National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the nation’s oldest and largest national parks nonprofit advocate, is looking for an Arizona Program Manager to join our Southwest Regional Office.
The Arizona Program Manager serves in a leadership position within NPCA and our Southwest Regional Office (SWRO) that represents our frontline in the state on campaigns, organizing, strategy, and relationships. Arizona is a large, dynamic state with 22 national park units and is geographically, politically, economically, and culturally very diverse, including one of the largest Native American populations in the country.
Working directly with the Southwest Regional Director and in coordination with other NPCA departments and teams, the Program Manager leads and implements regional and national program goals, including landscape-scale protection surrounding parks, protecting ecological and cultural resource values, mitigating and adapting to climate change impacts, responding to the challenges of growing visitation, and making parks and the diverse stories they preserve relevant and accessible to all Americans. Tribal engagement and collaboration in all these efforts is critical.
We are looking for candidates with at least five years of relevant experience, including familiarity with conservation, national park, and public land management issues and a strong knowledge of Arizona cultural and political history.
How to Apply: Qualified applicants please submit your resume and cover letter directly online to www.npca.org/jobs. No phone calls please. NPCA is an EOE.
