Position Descriptions

About the America the Beautiful for All Coalition:

In January 2021, the Biden Administration set the largest conservation goal in U.S. history - to conserve 30% of U.S. lands, waters, and ocean by 2030 (30x30). This is a global goal, set by the United Nations Environmental Programme to prevent irreversible species loss; many countries are contributing for the remainder of the decade. Here in the U.S., the America the Beautiful Initiative recognizes this international 30x30 goal and seeks to drive natural solutions to climate change and close the nature gap for nature-deprived communities.

The America the Beautiful For All Coalition, a table of tables that reflects the diversity of America and centers the voices of people of color working to conserve 30% of our public lands, waters, and ocean by 2030, is looking for a Communications Coordinator who can support the coalition objectives;

  • Build and nurture an inclusive, representative, action-oriented, and focused coalition to achieve our two primary goals.

  • Support increased capacity for under-resourced member organizations – especially those that primarily serve communities of color and frontline communities – to increase impact and influence.

  • Make 30x30/ATB more relevant to communities willing to fight for the coalition’s goals by equipping member organizations with the communications resources and support they need across their spectrum of audiences.

  • Catalyze a paradigm shift in the environmental movement that results in more equitable distribution of access, resources, and influence

  • Unite groups that have not historically worked together in the environmental movement.

  • Make capacity investments in strategic place-based campaigns that help advance the coalition's national goals.

  • Measure the coalition's impact through metrics that prioritize equitable access to nature's benefits, public health, environmental justice, and land justice.
