Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States September 15th - October 15th every year. It is an opportunity for our Latino/a/e community to celebrate our roots, our culture, and our accomplishments. GreenLatinos will bring together our staff, members and partners to advocate, celebrate, honor our leaders, and be en comunidad.
August 15, 2023 was GreenLatinos 15th Anniversary, kicking off our quinceañera year (time flies)! Quiceañeras are customarily supported by Padrinos and Madrinas who play a special role as the “patrons” of the event. This year, in the theme of the quinceañera , our supporting partners will be recognized and honored as the Padrinos and Madrinas of the event.

GreenLatinos Advocacy Days Fly-in
On September 25-28, 2023 GreenLatinos will host Federal Advocacy Days where we will bring in 25 members from key states to advocate on the 2023-2024 Core Priorities, including: Climate Justice and Clean Air, Water Equity, Clean Renewable Energy, Clean Accessible Transportation, Public Lands and Ocean, and Urban Parks and Green Spaces. Your support helps fund scholarships and programming for our grassroots members to have an opportunity to join us and advocate nationally on key issues impacting their local communities.

GreenLatinos Live! Awards Celebration
Quinceañera Edition!
GreenLatinos Live! Awards Celebration will be held on the evening of September 27th at Cuba Libre in Washington, DC. This event is a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the legacy and successes of the Latino/a/e environmental, conservation, and climate justice movement while connecting with leaders from environmental and Latino communities. We turned fifteen years old this year and our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration will feature our quinceañera theme, the presentation of awards, motivating speeches, live band karaoke, and dancing!
GreenLatinos HHM Recalentado Panels
On Thursday September 28th, 2023, the morning after our “quinceañera” awards celebration, GreenLatinos will host our GreenLatinos familia for a “recalentado”. Our recalentado consists of food, drink, and two dynamic policy panels bringing together local and national Latino leaders to discuss some of the most pressing environmental, conservation, and climate justice issues facing our community.
