Every year, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. It is an opportunity for our Latino/a/e community to celebrate our roots, our culture, and our accomplishments. During Hispanic Heritage Month, GreenLatinos Advocacy Week will be happening in Washington, DC. During this week, we host a variety of events including panels, trainings, meetings with key decision makers, and our annual GreenLatinos Live! Award Ceremony. Overview of Events:
GreenLatinos Federal Advocacy Fly-In: We bring key GreenLatinos members and partners to DC to advocate for our GreenLatinos Core Policy Priorities in the Latino Climate Justice Framework (LCJF).
2024 GreenLatinos Hispanic Heritage Month Advocacy Week Panels: We bring together local and national Latino/a/e leaders to discuss some of the most pressing environmental and conservation issues facing the Latino/a/e community.
GreenLatinos Congressional Briefing: We hear directly from elected and appointed officials who are working hard on our priority issues and get inside information on the work that is being done and what we need to prepare for.
GreenLatinos Live! Awards Celebration: This event is a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the legacy and successes of the Latino/a/e environmental, conservation, and climate justice movement while connecting with leaders from environmental and Latino communities.
