This Caucus formed just months ahead of the 35th anniversary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/grist.org\/equity\/the-event-that-changed-the-environmental-justice-movement-forever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit<\/a>, a landmark event integrating the <a href=\"https:\/\/climatejusticealliance.org\/ej-principles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">principles<\/a> of justice, respect, health, self-determination, civic engagement, workplace safety, international law, Tribal sovereignty, medical consent, freedom, education, and reciprocity into the American environmental movement. The People\u2019s Environmental Justice Caucus will champion the legacies of the late Congressmen Ra\u00fal Grijalva (AZ) and A. Donald McEachin (VA) who drafted and <a href=\"https:\/\/democrats-naturalresources.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/historic-environmental-justice-for-all-act-passes-committee-one-step-closer-to-becoming-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">passed<\/a> out of committee the House of Representatives\u2019 broadly supported landmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/2021\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Environmental Justice For All Act<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response <strong>GreenLatinos Founding President and CEO, Mark Maga\u00f1a,<\/strong> emite el siguiente comunicado:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor decades, people exposed to the deadly consequences of industrial pollution and exploitation of our land, water, and air successfully unified time and time again for a safer, healthier planet for our children.
