GreenLatinos Applauds EPA Finally Banning the Toxic Pesticide Chlorpyrifos From Food

Colorado - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency just announced that it will ban chlorpyrifos from all food crops.

Mark Magana, Founding President & CEO of GreenLatinos released the following statement:

“The horrible lifelong impacts of Chlorpyrifos has plagued Latino farmworkers and families for generations. Ending its use ends long standing abuse of essential workers that disproportionately falls not only upon the very community members providing the food we eat for dinner, but our families around the dinner table, too. What we do to the land we do to ourselves and this significant move to end the use of Chlorpyrifos on crops is a win for the health of people and the planet.”
