Meet the Team

Mariana Del Valle Prieto Cervantes

Chief of Staff

Mariana has committed her life to help advocate for the Latinx community in the environmental movement. A proud immigrant from México and raised in California’s central coast, and a mother of two, Mariana obtained her degree as a first generation student in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Communities.

Previously, she started her career near the ocean at a local aquarium where she gained experience in public education and community engagement, creating and implementing bilingual blended programs and serving the community. Mariana comes with experience working with local government and policy action campaigns at the local, state, and national level that provide her with a unique understanding of environmental policy and the need for the community to be engaged.

At GreenLatinos Mariana focuses on strategic planning for GreenLatinos organizational initiatives, water equity, ocean conservation and coastal access priorities at the national level. With these policy priorities in mind, Mariana works to positively impact change for clean, healthy and affordable water and ocean protections, with our comunidades in mind.
