GreenLatinos is Unwavering in its support of Dreamers and Responds to Reckless #TrumpShutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the Trump shutdown, Mark Magaña,GreenLatinos Founding President & CEO, issued the following statement:

“This President and the Republican Leadership have recklessly and unnecessarily caused a Government shutdown jeopardizing sick children, hard working public servants, 800,000 Dreamers, communities in disaster recovery, and halting government agencies that safeguard our water and air and provide access to our nation's beloved outdoor spaces.

It is clear, the Republicans control the White House and both houses of Congress and created this crisis. We demand they do their job and re-open the government by acting in the best interest of the nation and passing a bipartisan bill that protects and funds critical services, gets hard working Americans back to work, opens our national parks, and includes the Dream Act without funding a destructive border wall.

GreenLatinos will be unwavering in its support of Dreamers and all of our brothers and sisters who have been needlessly put at risk. Make no mistake, we along with millions of Americans, will not forget how this President and Republican leadership willingly put irresponsible politicking over the livelihood of our families and communities.
