Beyond your attendance, there are a number of ways to engage during the summit at an even greater level, and we wanted to share those instructions with you ASAP.
Proposing A Breakout Session:
GreenLatinos members carry a wealth of knowledge and experience with them, and we encourage participants to propose a breakout session during one of our breakout session blocs on Wednesday and Thursday  (see the DRAFT Agenda in Brief at: ).
Participants can submit a breakout session proposal at the link below, and all breakout session proposals must be received by close of business on Friday May 19 to be considered:
Proposing a Core Policy Priority:
One of the most important functions of the GreenLatinos Summit is the direction from our members on the federal public policy priorities that the organization will focus on in the coming year.  GreenLatinos members accomplish this by proposing and voting upon the organization's core policy priorities on the final day of the summit
Full Members can propose a core policy priority for consideration using the following link:
Proposals must be submitted by full members (yearly membership is included in Summit registration, provided participants meet the membership criteria available on our website at: later than Wednesday, May 24 in order to be considered.
Participating in the Organized Outdoor Excursion:
On Wednesday, May 24, GreenLatinos will be offering an optional outdoor excursion as part of our programming.
Sponsored by the Monterey Bay Aquarium and AZUL, we will be offering a kayaking excursion during our Summit.
Paddle through the kelp forest canopy along Cannery Row and experience the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
You may be greeted by harbor seals swimming alongside you or resting sleepily on the rocks along the shore. Or you may witness a raft of otters rolling and playing in the kelp! Kayakers get an up close look at this wonder of nature teeming with marine wildlife!
The remnants of the old canneries along the Row are reminiscent of a time gone by and one can easily imagine the hustle and bustle that must have existed during the heyday of sardine fishing.
One gets a new perspective of our beautiful coastline when looking back onto the land from the water.
No experience necessary – all the gear, paddling instruction and wildlife orientation will be provided.
There is an additional $25 fee for the outdoor excursion to help defray costs, and reserving your spot ASAP can be accomplished using the following link:

We will be sending additional information and instructions regarding the Summit in the coming days.

In the interim, should you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to reach out to us at any time.

Buen Camino,
