About the Organization
The Center for Creative Land Recycling (CCLR or "see clear") is the oldest and only national non-profit
organization pioneering brownfield and infill development to promote human and environmental
health and economic revitalization. CCLR promotes the sustainable, equitable and responsible reuse
of underutilized and environmentally-impacted properties, commonly called “brownfields.” We
educate, advocate, assist and convene stakeholders to revitalize communities through land recycling.
Through outreach, training, and technical assistance, CCLR offers communities tools to turn blighted
properties into assets like housing and open space. We are a small but mighty group that engages
stakeholders across all sectors in creative partnerships to promote collaboration and innovation in
sustainable development.
Position Overview
The Operations and Program Manager is critical to the effective functioning of the organization and
the fulfillment of its mission. This position reports directly to the Executive Director, and is
responsible for ensuring the successful development and implementation of CCLR’s programs and
assisting with administration. The Manager works closely with multiple staff, including Program
Associates on both the East and West Coasts.
The Operations and Program Manager must be a team player, able to interface on a professional
level at all times with diverse staff and consultants, as well as network with a number of funders and
partner organizations. A small organization like ours requires that team members be good
communicators, organized, flexible and ready for anything.
Key Responsibilities
Program and Policy Support: Manage program (e.g. workshop/webinar) planning and execution in
collaboration with the Program Director, Program Associates and other staff; identify and book
venues, travel and catering; use CRM software to develop outreach lists and manage event
registration; coordinate speakers; oversee event logistics; conduct and analyze follow-up surveys and
metrics, and use these to inform the organization’s future programming.
Financial Management: Work with the Executive Director to support CCLR’s fiscal administration,
including federal and foundation grants. Responsibilities include creating budgets, managing petty
cash and credit card, providing requested audit documentation, ensuring proper coding of expenses

and revenues, maintaining insurance coverage, and filing documentation in order to support CCLR’s
accounting processes.
Database and Website Management: Primary responsibility for the transition of current database to
Salesforce. Interface with consultants and train staff on new systems. Identify and make changes to
website in short-term with vision to fully revamping and upgrading the website.
Fundraising Support: Process donations and generate related reports; and assist other staff in the
development of grant applications or proposals. Support the Executive and Deputy Directors in
development of donor/sponsor materials, related communications, and relationship management.
Office Maintenance/Administration: Manage mail and other office administrative needs, such as
supply orders. Assist in scheduling meetings with the Board of Directors, developing Board packages,
taking notes on all Board calls, producing and distributing Board meeting minutes, and assisting the
Executive Director with Board Management.
Travel: Estimated 10% travel. Willingness and ability to travel regionally and occasionally nationally,
some weekends and evenings required.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years’ work experience.
● Experience in designing new programs from conception through implementation, including
tracking metrics and analyzing results.
● Strong oral presentation skills and impeccable organizational, writing, and editing skills,
including a demonstrated history of producing written content in the form of publications,
papers or blogs.
● Experience with Adobe Suite, Drupal and Salesforce required. Experience with Microsoft
Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Survey Monkey, and MailChimp a plus.
● Ability to demonstrate effective skills in time management, decision making, problem solving,
and teamwork.
● Experience managing public and private grants and related reporting in a nonprofit setting.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
● Understanding of current policy trends related to land use, sustainability, community
development, urban design and climate change.
● Fluency in Spanish a plus

Compensation and Benefits
This exempt position offers a competitive salary range ($45,000-$55,000) and an excellent benefits
package; plus medical and dental benefits, 401(k) Employer Contribution Plan, and generous paid
