The Sun Coast Regional Director is NPCA’s senior staff that guides National park protection strategies in Florida, Louisiana, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, and the Gulf Coast – including parts of Alabama and Mississippi. Responsibilities include but are not limited to designing and overseeing implementation of programs in the region to protect national park resources and improve the quality of visitors’ experience in the parks and working to brand NPCA in the local community as a conservation and preservation leader. Manage regional office staff to enable them to carry out programs and guide non-regional staff to support and lead programs in the region. Ensure that the entire regional program stays on budget, meets administrative and procedural requirements, and effectively reports on programmatic impact to donors, members and supporters. The Director will work closely with park personnel, other federal, state, and municipal officials as well as other environmental, youth, veteran, and business groups and the media to achieve our programmatic goals. The position includes partnering with Development team to plan and execute cultivation activities in the region to sustain current and engage new donors and manage and grow the regional council of advisors.
