The National Parks Conservation Association, the nation’s leading national park advocacy organization, seeks a Regional Director to lead and manage staff for the Northern Rockies Region which includes Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. The qualified individual will support and empower staff to lead their campaigns designed to protect natural and cultural resources, improve the quality of park visitor experiences, and build powerful networks of local advocates to influence policies that safeguard national parks. The Director will also contribute to national campaigns designed to protect parks; coordinate efforts with elected officials at the federal, state and local levels, and engage community organizations, non-governmental groups, and public resource agencies. The Regional Director will have experience working with the media as well as cultivating individual donors and foundations to secure funding for the entire organization. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in relevant field, with graduate degree preferred. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in public policy, advocacy, resource management and/or historic/cultural preservation. Position is based in Bozeman (MT) or other field office locales.
