The Fund for People in Parks seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization in raising private funds to provide grants that help complete projects that enhance the visitor experience in western National Parks. The Executive Director works closely with an Advisory Committee, National Park Service leaders, and private donors to identify, help develop, fund, and facilitate completion of high-impact projects.
The successful candidate will possess a strong major gift fundraising record, the ability to work productively and flexibly with public agencies and non-profit organizations, and experience working with a team of contractors and volunteers.
The position is cloud-based and the work location is open, with a focus in California. Business travel within the western region of the National Parks may be frequent. The Executive Director will be a part-time (20-30 hours per week)/exempt employee, with the opportunity to become full-time.
