GreenLatinos Reaction to Trumps Most Recent Attack on America's Treasured Public Lands

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, President Trump announced the signing of proclamations which will drastically diminish the protected area of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments.

In response,GreenLatinos President and CEO Mark Magaña released the following statement:

“Today President Trump removed protections for over two million acres of public lands in the American West – amounting to the largest elimination of protected areas in the United States. The President's reckless actions, will make vulnerable millions of acres of land, sacred sites, priceless indigenous archaeological resources, wildlife areas and the many recreation opportunities they provide. We stand with the overwhelming majority of Americans in opposing these assaults on our history and our nation's cultural heritage and natural treasures.”
