Description & Responsibilities
Ceres is looking to hire a Manager, California Policy. The Manager will be a key member of Ceres’ growing California office and will play a critical role in implementing Ceres’ water and climate policy and business advocacy work in California. The Manager will be responsible for supporting policy engagements with Ceres BICEP (Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy), Connect the Drops, and the Investor Policy Working Group and for communications and support of the networks. The Manager will be knowledgeable about environmental and sustainability issues, have experience working with non-profit organizations and private sector companies, and have experience with public policy, ideally at the state-level in California.
The Manager is a cross-program role that will work closely with Ceres program staff based in Boston. This role will closely work with the Policy, the Climate and Energy, and the Water Programs to mobilize major corporations in support of public policies that call for sustainable water management, clean energy, and greenhouse gas emissions reductions in California. This is a full-time position, based in San Francisco, and will report to Director, California Policy and Partnerships.
